McClintock's books have also received   recognition from institutions such as the Boston Globe/Horn Book, Golden Kite, ALA Notable Book, and Parent's Choice awards, among others. Her talent and contributions have been widely praised in esteemed publications including Publisher's Weekly, School Library Journal, Kirkus Reviews, Booklist, and the Horn Book. Several of her books have been featured on the renowned New York Public Library's annual 100 Titles for Reading and Sharing list.

In addition to her literary achievements, McClintock's illustrations have been showcased in prestigious museums and galleries worldwide.
