Robert Steven Kaplan is a former Fed President, Goldman Sachs Vice-Chair, Harvard professor, and leading philanthropist. He simplifies complex issues, helping his audiences understand and address their future impact and become effective leaders. From 2015 to 2021, Kaplan served as the President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, managing 1,300 employees and representing the Eleventh Federal Reserve District. During his tenure, he established the Dallas Fed as a leader in research thought-leadership and improved community engagement. Kaplan has also held positions at Harvard Business School and Goldman Sachs, where he had global responsibility for investment banking and investment management. He currently serves as Chairman of Project A.L.S. and Co-Chairman of the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation. Kaplan is involved in various advisory boards and serves on the boards of Harvard Medical School and St. Mark's School of Texas. He has authored three books on leadership and holds degrees from the University of Kansas and Harvard Business School.
