Working in higher education as a Cognitive and Developmental Psychologist, Lorna has spent the past 20 years investigating children's development in education and understanding around the emotional wellbeing of young people and adults. Working both in the UK and internationally, Lorna takes her expertise around the world to parents, children and teachers alike.
Working to help as many parents as possible throughout lockdown, Lorna recently worked with CurrysPCWorld on their Build a Robot campaign which was designed in response to a survey suggesting that parents wanted more creative ideas to use when homeschooling children. Here, Lorna's role involved talking on eight different radio stations, including the BBC, with the focus on questions around homeschooling.
As well as appearing on radio shows and attending numerous events as an expert speaker, Lorna has also delivered many education programmes working with the international charity SOS Children's Villages and the Tibetan Homes Foundation to develop overseas education programmes.
Most recently, Lorna appeared in national press articles as well as on BBC's The One Show on homeschooling during COVID-19 and emotional intelligence to bring much needed support and advice to struggling parents. If home schooling is giving you a headache, book in for a PepTalk with Lorna to get back on track and feeling confident when it comes to expert advice for your children.
