Brandon Marshall

Brandon Marshall, six-time Pro Bowl receiver, revealed his struggle with borderline personality disorder (BPD) in 2011, aiming to increase awareness and understanding of the condition. He shared how BPD affected his life and stressed the importance of treatment.

Brandon highlighted BPD's prevalence in prisons and committed to fighting the stigma associated with mental health issues. 

In 2013, he supported Mental Illness Awareness Week by wearing green Nike cleats and promised to donate any fines to charity. 

In 2018, he joined forces with the University of Michigan, rapper Logic, Glenn Close, and others to start "Who Can Relate," a campaign for mental health awareness. 

He also founded Project 375 to challenge mental illness stigma and educate communities on recognising signs of mental health issues. 

In addition to his work with the foundation, Brandon actively participates in other mental health organizations, such as the Child Mind Institute, where he serves as an ambassador for the Healthy Brain Network. 

He has also testified about mental health issues in the healthcare system before the Senate Finance Committee in Washington, D.C., and was featured in the 2019 documentary Headstrong: Mental Health and Sports.
