From there, he moved to Dorchester Town and then Weymouth before joining Tottenham Hotspur in 1980. At Tottenham, Roberts was part of the successful team that won the double-FA cup and the UEFA Cup in 1984. He later played for Rangers and Chelsea before finishing his career at West Bromwich Albion. Roberts also had a successful managing career, with stints at Enfield, Yeovil Town, Chesham United, and Clyde. He even coached the Pakistan and Nepal National Football Teams.
