Holly Walsh is a comedian and writer known for her contributions to the British comedy scene. She gained recognition in 2006 when Frank Skinner selected her for Avalon Entertainment's Frank Skinner's Skateboarding Dog. Since then, she has established herself as a stand-up comedian, performing at venues worldwide, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Holly is also the founder of Popcorn Comedy and a writer for Channel 4's TNT Show. Her interest in comedy began while studying History of Art at the University of Cambridge. While working in East London art galleries, she attended a comedy writing class that ignited her passion. She quickly gained acclaim, finishing as the runner-up in the AmusedMoose LaughOff 2006 at the Edinburgh Fringe, and three years later, she co-hosted the competition with Jack Whitehall.
In 2009, Holly made her radio debut on BBC Radio 4's The Now Show and has contributed to the podcast Answer Me This! Her performances have made her a familiar face in various media appearances. Holly's humour, often drawn from personal experiences like breaking her arm in the Worthing Birdman Competition, has earned her critical praise and a nomination for an Edinburgh Comedy Best Newcomer Award.
She has appeared on popular shows such as Mock the Week, Would I Lie to You?, and 8 Out of 10 Cats. A regular at major comedy clubs across the UK, Holly has also entertained at numerous corporate events, solidifying her status as a relevant and engaging comedian.
