Jeremy Warner is one of Britain’s leading financial, economic, and business journalists, with over 40 years of experience covering business and economic affairs.

He is currently a columnist and Assistant Editor at the Daily Telegraph, where he serves as the newspaper’s chief economics and business commentator.
Before joining the Telegraph, Jeremy was the Business and City Editor at The Independent and The Independent on Sunday for many years. He was also a founding member of The Independent’s editorial team at its launch in 1986. Earlier in his career, he worked as a business correspondent for The Times and The Scotsman.
Based in London, Jeremy is a frequent traveler for his work and regularly appears on TV, radio, and think tank panels. He is also an experienced moderator, chair, and speaker at corporate and trade conferences.
In the late 1980s, he gained public attention for refusing to disclose sources in a high-profile government investigation, a stand that earned him a special award from the Guild of British Newspaper Editors for his “outstanding contribution in defense of media freedom.”
Educated at Magdalen College School, Oxford, and University College London, he graduated with first-class honours in History.
