Jo Malone CBE, an English scent maverick, is renowned for creating some of the world’s most loved fragrances. Originally a facial therapist, Jo discovered her talent for creating scented products while working from her London home. Her handmade potions quickly gained popularity, leading her to launch her first brand, Jo Malone London, which achieved global cult status. In 1999, she sold the business to Estée Lauder Companies and remained Creative Director until 2006. Jo is no longer associated with the Jo Malone London brand.
In 2008, Jo was honoured with an MBE for her services to the beauty industry. Despite leaving her first brand, her passion for fragrance persisted. In 2016, Jo published her award-winning autobiography, "My Story," detailing her rise from humble beginnings to business success. Raised in government-subsidised housing in Kent, Jo left school as a teenager to care for her mother. Despite struggling with dyslexia, she had a unique ability to perceive scents. Her at-home beauty business grew into an international brand. After selling her company and battling breast cancer, Jo began a new chapter with Jo Loves.
