He is the CEO and Founder of Ad Astra Media LLC and holds the position of Director of Innovation and Chief Engineering Council/Innovation Lead at Hyperloop Transportation Technologies.
José is a Senior Advisor to the Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology CORD19 Project and the NASA AI Breathing Space Initiative.
He is a member of the Forbes Technology Council and serves as the Medical Technology and Artificial Intelligence Officer for NASA iTech.
Additionally, he mentors with MIT Solve, IDEAS Global Challenge, and the MIT 100K Entrepreneurship Competition - Accelerate.
Previously, he was the Associate Chief Health Officer and Senior Medical Scientist at IBM Watson Health.
José is an AI Ambassador for DeepLearning.AI and a member of the American Board of Radiology, Xcertia-American Medical Association, Aerospace Medical Association, The Space Foundation, and The Planetary Society.
He sits on the Board of Directors for the Medical Society of Virginia and the Virginia Chapter of the American College of Radiology.
