Karun's captivating career in motor racing began by following in the footsteps of his father and grandparents.
As he accelerated into his driving career, Karun quickly became a multiple race winner and podium finisher in GP2. He then went on to race in Formula 1 for Hispania Racing and Team Lotus in 2010 and 2011 respectively.
Since then, Karun has established a strong reputation as a commentator and analyst for motorsport. He has worked with five different global Formula 1 broadcasters.
Additionally, Karun serves as a consultant for Driven International, a circuit design company. His work involves exploring new circuit designs, upgrading current circuits, and creating manufacturer driving centers worldwide.
In addition to his consulting and commentating roles, Karun is a member of the F1 EDI Committee. As one of only two Indian Formula 1 drivers, he is deeply passionate about making the sport more inclusive. Karun is currently working on an action plan to improve diversity and inclusivity in Formula 1.
