Martha Kearney is an award-winning journalist and broadcaster, recognised for her six-year role as presenter of BBC Radio 4's Today Programme. She has recently transitioned from Today to take on two new positions at Radio 4, hosting her own interview series, This Natural Life, and joining the presenting team for Open Country. Over nearly four decades, Martha has led several of the UK's longest-running political and current affairs programmes, including BBC2's Newsnight, nearly ten years on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour, and eleven years presenting R4's The World at One.
In addition to her work in news, Martha has presented documentaries covering history, literature, nature, and art. Her interest in beekeeping has inspired her to front BBC Four's Who Killed the Honey Bee and The Wonder of Bees, as well as BBC Two's Hive Alive. Martha has received the Sony Radio Bronze Award and has been nominated for a BAFTA for her reporting on the Northern Ireland peace process.
