Martin Bayfield | Speaker Biography

Martin is not just your average guy. With his towering 6'10" frame, he made quite an impression on the rugby field before landing the role of body and stunt double for Hagrid in the Harry Potter Franchise. As an England forward, Martin had a remarkable international career, earning 31 England caps and achieving two Five/Six Nations Grand Slams from 1991 to 1996. He was also chosen to represent the British & Irish Lions in New Zealand in 1993.

Unfortunately, Martin's rugby career was cut short in 1998 due to a devastating injury. However, he didn't let that setback define him. With his charismatic personality and natural stage presence, Martin seamlessly transitioned into becoming an exceptional and entertaining speaker. He also found success as a brilliant TV presenter, working for reputable networks such as ITV and BT Sport, among others.
