Michelle Cracknell is a respected professional with over thirty years of experience in finance and pensions. She studied Civil Engineering at Imperial College, London, before moving into finance and specializing in actuarial science, becoming a qualified actuary.
Michelle has held significant leadership roles, including CEO of The Pensions Advisory Service from 2013 to 2018. During this time, she raised public awareness of pensions, led campaigns against pension scams, and introduced services like an online tool for tracing lost pensions and a Midlife Review service for the self-employed.
After her role at The Pensions Advisory Service, Michelle became an Independent Non-Executive Director at PensionBee in 2019, where she helps improve services for savers. She also holds non-executive positions at Fidelity International Holdings, Just Group Plc, Lloyds Banking Group Pension Trustees Ltd, and PensionBee Group Plc.
In 2023, she joined the Board of Sport England for a three-year term, focusing on strategy development, project oversight, and grant approvals. Additionally, Michelle is Chairman at Partnership Home Loans Ltd., Fil Wealth Management Ltd., and Just Retirement Money Ltd.
