BlogLoginGet in TouchNaomi is a Rwandan-Belgian female racing driver and television presenter. Whether you know her from the track, presenting, or even as a stunt driver in James Bond, Naomi is certainly one to watch! She began her racing career at the age of 11 in karts and has since progressed to compete in single-seater, prototype, and GT racing championships on an international level. In 2014, she won the Clio Cup China Series, which led to a 5-year contract with a German racing team. Naomi's achievements also include competing in the grueling 24 Hours of Nürburgring in 2018, widely considered one of the toughest races in the world, where she finished an incredible second in class. In 2019, she was selected to compete in the inaugural W Series championship and later became the diversity and inclusion ambassador for the W Series in 2020. In 2022, Naomi had the honor of presenting the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team car launch for the Mercedes W13 alongside Natalie Pinkham. Additionally, she joined the Sky Sports F1 team as an Analyst and was announced as a co-presenter on the new Sky Sports F1 show, Any Driven Monday.
In this keynote, we'll reflect on the question of diversity from several perspectives – race, gender in sport, and the importance of understanding that people have many different layers. The message is simple: judge people based on what they say and do, not on preconceived ideas of what to expect.
