Nick Wealthall's biography

At a glance

  • Turns bold ideas into commercial results for teams
  • Former professional poker player and TV presenter
  • Built his own business, now a trusted advisor to top UK companies

Nick Wealthall is an expert in unlocking the commercial potential for leaders and teams, transforming attitudes and behaviours by reframing mindsets, building resilience, and driving growth ideas into action. His unique professional poker and TV presentation background informs his dynamic approach to projects and talks.

After graduating from Cambridge, Nick began his career in sales, quickly rising through the ranks before being headhunted to work with high-net-worth clients in wealth management. During this time, his passion for poker grew, and he moved to Las Vegas to play professionally, sharpening decision-making skills that would later define his business approach.

Returning to England, Nick pursued broadcasting, working as a comedy writer and presenter on shows like "8 Out of 10 Cats" and "Have I Got News For You". He also hosted and commented on major Sky and Channel 4 poker events.

Nick returned to sales and training, launching an online poker training business with less than £1,000. Over nine years, he grew Transform My Poker into the UK’s leading poker training company, with thousands of customers across 60 countries and sales exceeding £2 million.

Now, Nick focuses on helping corporates and SMEs unlock their commercial potential through consultancy and development programs, sharing the lessons he's learned in poker, business, and working with top clients. His mission is to help others see commercial growth as a rewarding challenge, not an intimidating task, to allow individuals and businesses to fulfil their potential.

He’s trusted to do this and has a track record of results with major organisations including WTW, Savills, Lockton Insurance, the RFU and many more.

How do I book Nick Wealthall for my next event?

Email nick.weathall@getapeptalk.com or call PepTalk on +44 20 3835 2929 (UK) or +1 737 888 5112 (US), and one of our speaker agents will contact you within hours to confirm Nick's availability and fees. If you can, please include your budget upfront – it helps us fast-track your request. It’s also helpful to know the date, format (virtual or in-person), location, and a bit about your audience.

What is Nick Wealthall's speaking style like?

Nick Wealthall draws on his background as a professional poker player to reframe commercial challenges, using poker-derived decision-making frameworks to shift how teams approach risk, rejection, and deal-making.

What topics does Nick Wealthall specialise in?

Nick Wealthall speaks on entrepreneurial thinking for revenue growth, commercial transformation and leadership culture, and resilience skills for commercial teams. He built Transform My Poker from under £1,000 into the UK's leading poker training company, generating over £2 million in sales across 60 countries, and has since delivered commercial development programmes for organisations including WTW, Savills and Lockton Insurance.

Does PepTalk charge a booking fee?

No. PepTalk adds no booking fee, so you pay the speaker's fee and nothing beyond it. The service, from shortlist through to contracts and event-day logistics, is included. For repeat or multi-event bookings, PepTalk can agree preferential rates with your procurement team.

What happens after I send a brief?

Share your event date, audience, format, objectives and budget, and PepTalk sends a hand-picked shortlist within 24 hours. Each suggestion comes with a profile, a fee and a recommendation on the strongest fit. Once you choose, PepTalk handles contracts, travel and logistics through to event day.

What does the typical fee range mean?

The typical fee range is the speaker's standard in-person fee in their home market, shown in their local currency. It moves with format, location, date and session length: virtual sessions and shorter slots usually cost less, while international travel and peak dates cost more. Send your brief to PepTalk and the team will confirm the exact fee in your currency.

Have all the speakers on the website worked with PepTalk before?

Not all of them, and it makes no difference to your booking. PepTalk's network of 15,000+ speakers covers talent the team works with directly alongside speakers represented by agents and agencies worldwide. PepTalk approaches the speaker, negotiates the fee and handles contracting either way.

How far in advance should I book a speaker?

Three to six months ahead is comfortable for most events, and 12 months is better for large conferences, peak-season dates or one specific in-demand speaker. Shorter timelines are workable, and PepTalk regularly fills last-minute and replacement bookings within days. Availability is the constraint, so get in touch as soon as you have a date.
