Adam Cheyer is an AI pioneer and the creator of Siri, Apple’s AI assistant, and Samsung’s Bixby. He has over 30 years of experience in technology and has co-founded five successful startups, four of which were acquired for their innovative AI technology. These include Siri, which he developed while working with Steve Jobs, Viv Labs, Sentient, and Gameplanner.AI, the latter being Airbnb's first acquisition as a public company. Adam also co-founded Change.org, the largest petition platform globally, enabling over 500 million people to effect change in their communities.
Currently, Adam serves as VP of AI Experience at Airbnb, focusing on transforming the platform into an intuitive travel concierge using generative AI. He advises several companies, including Project Voice Capital Partners and Otter.ai. Previously, he held roles as VP Engineering at Verticalnet and Dejima, and spent over a decade at SRI International, where he was Chief Architect of CALO/PAL, the largest AI project funded by the US government.
Adam has authored over 60 publications and holds 39 patents in artificial intelligence, human-computer interfaces, and machine learning. In addition to his technology work, he is an award-winning magician, performing for heads of state and on television, including an appearance on Penn & Teller Fool Us. He graduated with the highest honours from Brandeis University and received the Outstanding Masters Student award from UCLA School of Engineering.
