Andreena Leeanne

Andreena Leeanne is a renowned self-care workshop facilitator, lived experience speaker, and author known for her unwavering commitment to diversity and inclusion. She received the prestigious Black History Month Role Model award in 2018, a testament to her resilience in overcoming significant personal adversities. 

As a speaker, Andreena addresses many topics, including LGBT+ experiences, self-care, and identity. She fearlessly shares her journey of surviving sexual abuse, battling mental health issues, navigating LGBTQ+ identity, and experiencing homelessness. Her book, "Charred: A Survivor Speaks Her Truth to Inspire," provides a profound exploration of these experiences. Beyond her speaking engagements and writing, Andreena serves as a Trustee of the Action Breaks Silence charity and passionately advocates against violence towards women and girls. She also facilitates self-care writing workshops, utilizing writing as a powerful stress-relief tool in corporate settings. 

Andreena's dedication to creating safe spaces for creative expression is evident through her founding of the Adult Survivors Open Mic and the establishment of Poetry LGBT Open Mic Night. Her efforts in providing platforms for individuals to express themselves freely have been recognized, as she was shortlisted for the 2021 Positive LGBT Role Model award at the National Diversity Awards.
