** Andrew Coyne is a prominent Canadian journalist and columnist. He is currently a columnist for the Globe and Mail and was previously the national editor of Maclean’s magazine. Coyne's commentary on political and economic issues engages audiences across Canada, often sparking debate. His writing has appeared in various publications, including the Financial Post, Postmedia, and the Southam newspaper chain. He also contributes to several foreign publications and frequently appears on radio and television, notably as a panellist on CBC’s The National in the “At Issue” segment.
Coyne has received recognition for his work, winning two National Newspaper Awards and being a four-time finalist for the National Magazine Awards. He was awarded the Hyman Solomon Award for Excellence in Public Policy Journalism and is a Fellow at the School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Toronto.
