Andrew Flintoff, known as Freddie, is a former English cricketer who played as an all-rounder in Test and One Day International matches. Born on 6th December 1977 in Preston, Lancashire, Flintoff began his cricket career early and gained recognition for his batting and fast bowling. He received notable accolades, including Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 2004 and Wisden Leading Cricketer in the World in 2005.
Flintoff's career included both successes and challenges. He captained the national team in 2006 but faced criticism due to England's performance in the 2006-07 Ashes series and the 2007 World Cup. Despite injuries and setbacks, he played a key role in helping England regain the Ashes in 2009.
