Anthony Hilton is a journalist and author with over 30 years of experience. Educated at St Paul's School in London and Cambridge University, where he studied economics, Anthony began his journalism career at the Financial Times in 1987, focusing on the City of London. He later worked for the Evening Standard and the Daily Mail before joining the Sunday Times in 1996 as business editor. In 2000, he became the business editor of the London Evening Standard, writing a weekly column until 2004. He then served as executive director of communications for the London Stock Exchange from 2004 to 2006. Since 2006, Anthony has continued to write a weekly column for the Evening Standard and has contributed to various publications, including the Financial Times, the Guardian, and the New Statesman. He has authored several books, including "The Great British Business Book" and its sequel. Anthony has received multiple awards, including the British Press Awards' Business Journalist of the Year in 2000 and 2001, and recognition from the Society of Business Editors for his coverage of the dot-com boom and bust.
