BlogLoginGet in TouchMost of us are born in a hospital with a doting dad looking on and an excited extended family waiting outside for us. But not Antwone. He entered this world when his single mother gave birth to him in prison. His early life saw him pass around foster families where he was mistreated and abused.
However, Antwone's story inspired a Hollywood movie about his life and led him to work as a screenwriter, poet, lecturer, best-selling author, and children's rights advocate. Not only that, his autobiographical book, "Finding Fish: A Memoir," is a New York Times bestseller.
Antwone is an inspirational individual who serves as a beacon of hope for all those who want to fulfil their dreams. Recently, he spoke at the McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center.
This session aims to shed light on the importance of mental health and break the silence surrounding it. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of mental health issues, learn strategies to empower themselves and others, and discover resources available for support. By attending this session, individuals will have the knowledge and tools to promote mental well-being, reduce stigma, and create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all.
