Brandon Berger is a versatile professional with a strong background in athletics and business. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in biology. In athletics, Brandon was a student-athlete at UTA, competing in the decathlon and hurdles. He helped the Mavericks win three indoor conference championships and two outdoor titles. After graduating, he started his coaching career at UTA as a student assistant and later became the assistant events manager at Maverick Stadium. In 2012, he was promoted to associate head track and field coach, where he has coached numerous all-conference performers and individual champions, achieving multiple NCAA All-America accolades. In business, Brandon began in digital media as Chief Digital Officer Worldwide for Ogilvy & Mather, where he helped shape the company's global digital strategy, leading to significant growth and industry awards. He then became Chief Business Officer of theSkimm, overseeing revenue and marketing, achieving substantial growth, and launching video and podcasting initiatives. Currently, Brandon focuses on investments in public and private companies and is a partner at Platform Ventures, often taking on interim executive roles in marketing and operations. Brandon is married to Mishael, a former UTA track standout and current associate athletics director. They have two children, Ava and Noah.
