Christ Ashton is a retired English rugby union and former rugby league player, known for his exceptional try-scoring ability. He started his career with Wigan Warriors, making his senior debut in 2005 and scoring 28 tries in 52 games.
In 2007, Chris moved to rugby union with Northampton Saints, where he set a record by scoring 39 tries in his first season. His impressive performance in the 2009-2010 season earned him the Premiership Player of the Season Award after scoring 16 tries in 20 matches.
Chris joined Saracens in 2012, making an immediate impact by scoring two tries on his debut. He played a key role in Saracens' Premiership wins in 2015 and 2016 and helped the club win its first Champions Cup title. He set a Heineken Cup record with 11 tries in the 2013-2014 season. In 2017, he moved to Toulon, where he broke the Top 14 season try-scoring record with 24 tries. On the international stage, Ashton made his England debut in March 2010 and earned 40 caps, including playing in the 2011 Rugby World Cup, where he was a joint-leading try-scorer. He returned to the England squad in November 2018 and scored against New Zealand in his comeback match.
