He also authored "A Conspiracy So Immense: The World of Joe McCarthy," which won the Hardeman Prize for the best book about the U.S. Congress. Another noteworthy book by Oshinsky is "Worse Than Slavery," which received the Robert F. Kennedy Prize for its contribution to human rights.
