Eddie Kadi, born on May 18, 1983, in Kinshasa, Zaire, is a British-Congolese comedian, presenter, and actor. He moved to the UK at the age of ten and graduated with a BSc Honours in Media Technology from Kingston University, where he served as President of the Afro-Caribbean Society. Kadi gained recognition in comedy by winning the BECA Award for Best Comedy Newcomer in 2006 and became the first Black British solo comedian to sell out London's IndigO2, performing there twice in 2009. He has performed internationally, including at the O2 Arena in London and various comedy festivals across Africa.
In television and radio, Kadi is known for hosting the Official UK Afrobeats Chart Show on BBC Radio 1Xtra and has appeared as a team captain on ITV’s comedy panel show "Sorry, I Didn't Know." He is also a regular contributor on BBC Radio 5 Live's "Fighting Talk" and co-hosted the Amazon Music podcast "The Noughties." In 2023, he participated in the twenty-first series of "Strictly Come Dancing."
Kadi's acting credits include voice work in the animated series "Tinga Tinga Tales" and roles in films such as "Area Boys," "Shank," "Anuvahood," and "Gone Too Far!" He has also collaborated with UK Hip Hop artist Sway and hosted events in Senegal.
