Eric Emerson Schmidt is a co-founder of Schmidt Futures and has had a distinguished career in the technology industry. He served as the Executive Chairman of Alphabet, Inc from 2015 to 2017 and as a Technical Advisor at Alphabet from 2017 to 2020. Prior to the establishment of Alphabet, Schmidt was the chairman of Google Inc. for four years and served as Google's chief executive officer from 2001 to 2011. During his tenure, he played a crucial role in scaling Google's infrastructure and expanding its product offerings. Before his time at Google, Schmidt held various positions at Sun Microsystems, Inc. and served as the CEO of Novell. He has also served as a director of Apple Inc. and has been involved in numerous organizations and advisory boards. Schmidt is a highly accomplished individual with a Doctoral degree and a Master of Science degree in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Princeton University.
