George Magnus is an independent economist, consultant, and commentator with over thirty years of experience in the financial services industry. He is currently an Associate at Oxford University’s China Centre and the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, where he uses his expertise in economic foresight. George served as Chief Economist and Senior Economic Adviser at UBS Investment Bank from 1997 to 2012, providing critical insights on global economic events, including predicting the 2008 financial crash.
