Israel "DT" Del Toro, a Master Sergeant in the Air Force, faced incredible challenges after being severely injured by a landmine in Afghanistan. Doctors gave him a slim chance of survival and told him he would spend another year in the hospital, may never walk again, and would likely be on a respirator for life. However, DT was determined to keep his promise to his son - that he would never leave him without a father. With the love and support of his family and comrades, DT defied the odds and overcame his injuries. He now shares his inspiring story with audiences across the country, motivating them to push themselves further when they know what they're fighting for. DT's life has been marked by devotion to his family, having taken on the role of provider at a young age after the deaths of his parents. His promise to always take care of his family and the promise to his son kept him going through countless surgeries and therapy. Despite being given a low chance of survival, DT not only re-enlisted in the Air Force but also set records and won a gold medal at the Invictus Games. Comedians generally start at £1,500 or $2,000 for a 20-minute set.
