Jason Snell is an American writer, editor, and podcaster. He grew up in Sonora, California, and graduated from Sonora Union High School. Jason attended Revelle College at the University of California, San Diego, where he was the editor-in-chief of the UCSD Guardian newspaper. He earned a B.A. in Communication and a Master's degree in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley. Jason began his journalism career at MacUser magazine and became a key staff member at Macworld after their merger. He later served as senior vice president at IDG Consumer & Small Business Publishing. In 2006, Jason was named the 6th most powerful person in Macintosh computing by the MDJ Power 25 poll. He co-founded the humor site TeeVee.org, which continues as a podcast. In 2010, he launched The Incomparable podcast, which has grown into a network with over twenty shows and won the Parsec Award for Best Speculative Fiction Fan or News Podcast multiple times. After leaving Macworld, he created Six Colors, a member-supported website focused on technology and Apple products. Jason lives in Mill Valley, California, with his wife and two children. He is active in various podcasts, including Upgrade and Liftoff on Relay FM, and has been involved in podcasting for over a decade.
