Jessica Yellin is a well-known American journalist, author, and speaker recognized for her significant work in political journalism. She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University, where she developed her skills in journalism and politics. Jessica began her broadcast career in 1998 as a reporter for Central Florida News 13. She later worked at WTVT-TV in Tampa, covering the 2000 Florida recount, and became the morning anchor at Central Florida News 13 in 1999. Her early roles included being a front-of-the-book editor at Los Angeles Magazine and reporting for George Magazine. In July 2003, Jessica joined ABC News as a White House correspondent, reporting on politics and culture for programs like Good Morning America and Nightline, and interviewing notable figures such as Presidents Bill Clinton and George H. W. Bush. She later worked as an overnight anchor and correspondent for MSNBC before joining CNN in August 2007 as a Capitol Hill correspondent. She quickly became Chief White House Correspondent, conducting in-depth interviews with President Barack Obama and other key political figures. Jessica has received many awards, including Gracie Awards for her coverage of the 2008 presidential campaign and gender issues in politics, a Peabody Award for Best Political Team on Television, and an Emmy Award for Outstanding Live Coverage of a Current News Story. After leaving CNN in October 2013, Jessica founded her independent digital media brand, News Not Noise, in 2017, focusing on delivering substantial information without sensationalism. She is also the author of the novel Savage News, published in 2019, and is a sought-after speaker known for her insights on current events. Today, Jessica continues to influence the media landscape through News Not Noise, which includes a podcast and social media presence, providing clarity and depth in political reporting.
