Adam LeBor is a British author, journalist, and writing coach. He grew up in a Jewish community and received a strong education in Jewish culture and history. Adam studied Arabic, international history, and politics at Leeds University, where he graduated and served as editor of the student newspaper. Adam began his journalism career writing for various national newspapers before becoming a foreign correspondent. He reported on significant events in central and eastern Europe, including the Yugoslav wars, serving as a war correspondent in Croatia and Bosnia. His reporting has taken him to over 30 countries, covering pivotal moments such as the collapse of Communism. Currently, Adam contributes to publications like The Times, Financial Times, The Critic, and Monocle, while also working as an editorial trainer and writing coach. He has authored eight non-fiction books, including Hitler's Secret Bankers, which was shortlisted for the Orwell Prize, and City of Oranges, which received recognition from the New York Times and the Guardian. His other notable works include Seduced By Hitler, Milosevic: A Biography, and Complicity with Evil. In addition to non-fiction, Adam has created fiction series such as the Danube Blues series featuring a Gypsy detective and the Yael Azoulay series about an Israeli negotiator. His work has been translated into fourteen languages. Adam resides in London but has spent significant time in Budapest, where he teaches journalism. His writing reflects his background in Jewish culture and his journalistic experiences, aiming to document important events and challenge readers' perceptions.
