Natalia Herbst is an Obama Scholar ‘19 with over 10 years of experience in government at both local and national levels. In 2023, she served on President Obama’s Inclusive Economies Working Group. She is the Director of Latin America Strategy and Development at Apolitical Foundation, supporting female candidates running for office. Additionally, she works at Publica Lab, collaborating with private company founders to develop narratives about their businesses' impact on community development. As the National Director for Community Organizations at the National Youth Institute, Natalia focused on creating youth-centred public policy that affected over 1.5 million young people nationwide. Her efforts aimed to change how governments engage with youth. Natalia holds a BA in international studies from UTDT, an MA in development studies from IDS-Sussex, and is an Obama Scholar from Columbia University. She is also an alumna of JICA, Fulbright, and Aspen Ideas Fellow programmes.
