Peter Bryant is an accomplished thought leader and industry expert in the fields of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and sustainability, the energy transition, and innovation and digital transformation in the mining and energy sectors. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, he is a highly sought-after speaker at leading conferences and organizations, where he shares his insights and expertise on a wide range of topics related to these fields.
As the Board Chair and Managing Director of resources advisory firm Clareo and Co-Founder and Board Chair of the Development Partner Institute, a nonprofit organization focused on promoting improved social, economic, and environmental outcomes for communities from resource development projects, Peter is deeply committed to driving positive change in the mining and energy sectors. He also serves on the Board of Advisors for several venture capital funds, including Chrysalix and Foundamental, as well as for various emerging technology companies. He has also served on Innovation Councils for multiple mining and energy companies.
Throughout his career, Peter has provided strategic advice to numerous leading companies around the world, including Anglo American, BHP, Rio Tinto, Teck Resources, JCI, BP, GE O&G, Baker Hughes, Castrol, Edison International, and Goldcorp. He is an invited participant in the joint Rockefeller Foundation and Brookings Institute 17 Rooms program, which aims to accelerate the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. He is also a regular participant in the World Economic Forum’s annual Mine Ministers Summit and the FMF Ministerial Roundtable. He is a co-author of “The Growth Champions: The Battle for Sustained Innovation Leadership,” which was published in 2012.

He has also been interviewed by Bloomberg and CNBC Arabia. He immigrated to the United States in 1996 from New Zealand via Australia and currently resides in Southern California with his family. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand, is a CA from the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is also a co-founder of The World Innovation Network.
