Thasunda Brown Duckett is the President and Chief Executive Officer of TIAA, a prominent provider of retirement and investment solutions for individuals in higher education, healthcare, and other mission-driven sectors.
Before joining TIAA, Thasunda was the CEO of Chase Consumer Banking at JP Morgan Chase. She also led the bank’s auto finance division and served as the national sales leader in mortgage banking.
Thasunda holds several board positions, including NIKE, Inc., Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, Sesame Workshop, the National Medal of Honor Museum, the Economic Club of New York, the University of Houston Board of Visitors, and the Dean’s Advisory Board for Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business. She is also a member of the Executive Leadership Council Advisory Board, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., and Jack and Jill of America Inc.
Thasunda founded The Rosie and Otis Brown Foundation in honour of her parents, aimed at recognising and rewarding individuals who empower their communities in significant ways. Thasunda is dedicated to helping communities of colour address disparities in wealth creation, educational outcomes, and career success.
