Ben Saunders

Ben Saunders is one of the world's foremost polar explorers, renowned for his record-breaking long-distance skiing expeditions in the Polar Regions. Since 2001, he has traversed over 7,000 kilometres (4,350 miles) on foot.

Notably, he led The Scott Expedition, which is the longest human-powered polar journey in history. Ben achieved the remarkable feat of completing the expedition that had eluded Captain Scott and Sir Ernest Shackleton—an arduous 105-day round-trip from Ross Island on the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole and back again.

Ben's accomplishments extend beyond the Antarctic. He is also the third person in history to ski solo to the North and South poles. Moreover, he holds the record for the longest solo Arctic journey by a British explorer.
