Caleb Campbell's biography

At a glance

  • Keynote speaker and coach on leadership and emotional well-being
  • First West Point football player drafted into the NFL while serving in the Army
  • Advocate for mental health, resilience, and authentic leadership

Caleb Campbell is a dynamic keynote speaker, coach, and mental health advocate known for his authentic and transformational message on high-capacity leadership, whole-person success, and emotional well-being. In 2008, Caleb graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army. However, Caleb's path took a unique turn.

He was also selected in the 2008 NFL Draft, making him the second player to be drafted out of West Point and the first player, under a new Department of Defense policy, permitted to serve and play simultaneously. Little did he know at the time, but Caleb was about to fight his own inner battle, and it would almost cost him his life. Now, fueled by his experiences and commitment to emotional wellness, Caleb is on a mission to inspire leaders to live and lead with authenticity and courage.

With his captivating storytelling and infectious energy, Caleb shares his powerful experiences from West Point, the NFL, and beyond to help leaders strengthen resilience, sustain high performance, and, most importantly, enhance their overall well-being. Far from offering clichéd "do better, be better" advice, Caleb skillfully guides his audience through discussions on courage, emotional intelligence, and heart-centred leadership. Caleb's mission is to continually demonstrate how facing our fears, embracing change, and staying authentic will make us stronger, even in our weakest moments.

How do I book Caleb Campbell for my next event?

Email caleb.campbell@getapeptalk.com or call PepTalk on +44 20 3835 2929 (UK) or +1 737 888 5112 (US), and one of our speaker agents will contact you within hours to confirm Caleb's availability and fees. If you can, please include your budget upfront – it helps us fast-track your request. It’s also helpful to know the date, format (virtual or in-person), location, and a bit about your audience.

What is Caleb Campbell's speaking style like?

Caleb Campbell uses autobiographical narrative as his primary delivery format, drawing sequentially from his experiences at West Point, his NFL draft, and a subsequent mental health crisis to anchor frameworks on leadership, resilience, and emotional intelligence.

What topics does Caleb Campbell specialise in?

Caleb Campbell's sessions address courageous and authentic leadership, navigating uncertainty and change, and building trust-based organisational cultures through emotional intelligence. He is the first West Point football player to be drafted into the NFL while simultaneously serving as a commissioned US Army officer, a distinction established under a 2008 Department of Defense policy.

Does PepTalk charge a booking fee?

No. PepTalk adds no booking fee, so you pay the speaker's fee and nothing beyond it. The service, from shortlist through to contracts and event-day logistics, is included. For repeat or multi-event bookings, PepTalk can agree preferential rates with your procurement team.

What happens after I send a brief?

Share your event date, audience, format, objectives and budget, and PepTalk sends a hand-picked shortlist within 24 hours. Each suggestion comes with a profile, a fee and a recommendation on the strongest fit. Once you choose, PepTalk handles contracts, travel and logistics through to event day.

What does the typical fee range mean?

The typical fee range is the speaker's standard in-person fee in their home market, shown in their local currency. It moves with format, location, date and session length: virtual sessions and shorter slots usually cost less, while international travel and peak dates cost more. Send your brief to PepTalk and the team will confirm the exact fee in your currency.

Have all the speakers on the website worked with PepTalk before?

Not all of them, and it makes no difference to your booking. PepTalk's network of 15,000+ speakers covers talent the team works with directly alongside speakers represented by agents and agencies worldwide. PepTalk approaches the speaker, negotiates the fee and handles contracting either way.

How far in advance should I book a speaker?

Three to six months ahead is comfortable for most events, and 12 months is better for large conferences, peak-season dates or one specific in-demand speaker. Shorter timelines are workable, and PepTalk regularly fills last-minute and replacement bookings within days. Availability is the constraint, so get in touch as soon as you have a date.
