Jason Caldwell's biography

At a glance

  • World Record Holder for Fastest Atlantic Ocean Row
  • President & Owner of Latitude 35 Leadership
  • High-Performance Coach for Fortune 500 Companies

Jason Caldwell is a world-class athlete, a leadership and high-performance coach, and a keynote speaker. As the president and owner of Latitude 35 Leadership, he utilizes experiential training to delve into the art of leading and maintaining high-performance teams. Jason has worked with advanced managers in over 30 Fortune 500 companies and has taught at some of the top business schools in the US.

However, it was in sports that Jason initially gained recognition. As an endurance and adventure athlete, he has amassed world records from various locations, including the oceans and the Namib Desert. After graduating college, Jason received an invitation to row for the elite rowing team of Vesper Boat Club in Philadelphia. Over a three-year period, he won two gold medals, one silver, and one bronze at the National Championships.

In 2015, Jason captained and represented the United States in a rowing race across the Atlantic Ocean, spanning 3,000 miles. Despite facing a dramatic and treacherous 51-day row, which included the emergency evacuation of two team members, Jason led his remaining crew to the finish line in Antigua, setting the American Record for the fastest US four to ever cross the Atlantic.

A year later, Jason assembled a new team to participate in the race once again. This time, they not only emerged as the winners but also broke the World Record as the fastest team to row across the Atlantic Ocean.

If you're seeking to extract that extra bit of potential from your high-performing team, it's time to learn from Jason's wealth of experience.

Something we've not covered here?

How do I book Jason Caldwell for my next event?

Email jason.caldwell@getapeptalk.com or call PepTalk on +44 20 3835 2929 (UK) or +1 737 888 5112 (US), and one of our speaker agents will contact you within hours to confirm Jason's availability and fees. If you can, please include your budget upfront – it helps us fast-track your request. It’s also helpful to know the date, format (virtual or in-person), location, and a bit about your audience.

What is Jason Caldwell's speaking style like?

Jason Caldwell draws on first-hand accounts of record-breaking endurance events — including a 51-day Atlantic rowing crossing involving an emergency evacuation — to illustrate principles of high-performance team leadership.

What topics does Jason Caldwell specialise in?

Jason Caldwell speaks on risk-taking, high-performance leadership, and resilience in the face of adversity. He holds the World Record for the fastest team row across the Atlantic Ocean, set in 2016, and has coached advanced managers across more than 30 Fortune 500 companies as president of Latitude 35 Leadership.

Does PepTalk charge a booking fee?

No. PepTalk adds no booking fee, so you pay the speaker's fee and nothing beyond it. The service, from shortlist through to contracts and event-day logistics, is included. For repeat or multi-event bookings, PepTalk can agree preferential rates with your procurement team.

What happens after I send a brief?

Share your event date, audience, format, objectives and budget, and PepTalk sends a hand-picked shortlist within 24 hours. Each suggestion comes with a profile, a fee and a recommendation on the strongest fit. Once you choose, PepTalk handles contracts, travel and logistics through to event day.

What does the typical fee range mean?

The typical fee range is the speaker's standard in-person fee in their home market, shown in their local currency. It moves with format, location, date and session length: virtual sessions and shorter slots usually cost less, while international travel and peak dates cost more. Send your brief to PepTalk and the team will confirm the exact fee in your currency.

Have all the speakers on the website worked with PepTalk before?

Not all of them, and it makes no difference to your booking. PepTalk's network of 15,000+ speakers covers talent the team works with directly alongside speakers represented by agents and agencies worldwide. PepTalk approaches the speaker, negotiates the fee and handles contracting either way.

How far in advance should I book a speaker?

Three to six months ahead is comfortable for most events, and 12 months is better for large conferences, peak-season dates or one specific in-demand speaker. Shorter timelines are workable, and PepTalk regularly fills last-minute and replacement bookings within days. Availability is the constraint, so get in touch as soon as you have a date.
