AJ Pritchard is a British dancer, choreographer, and television personality. He started dancing at 12, inspired by his parents' involvement in dance. AJ has a younger brother, Curtis, who is also a professional dancer.
AJ gained recognition when he and Chloe reached the live semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent in 2013. He was a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing from 2016 to 2020, partnering with celebrities like Claudia, Mollie, Lauren, and Saffron. Although he was eliminated in the semi-finals three times, he remained popular on the show.
His TV appearances include Celebrity MasterChef in 2018, where he left after criticism of his apple crumble. He also participated in the celebrity version of Hunted with Louis and was a guest choreographer on RuPaul's Drag Race UK with Curtis. In 2020, he took part in I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here, but was eliminated alongside Mo.
AJ made his acting debut in 2021 on Hollyoaks, playing Marco, though the performances received mixed reviews. He is active in charity work and has spoken about the importance of giving back at events like the Charity Film Awards. AJ wants to expand into TV presenting and has appeared on ITV’s Lorraine show, aiming to create his own game show.
In his personal life, AJ has OCD, dyslexia, and color blindness. In 2018, he and Curtis were victims of an unprovoked assault in Nantwich, resulting in injuries. They are currently launching a fintech business and sharing insights into the TV and dance industry through their YouTube series while continuing to engage audiences with their diverse projects.
