Craig Lipset is a well-known innovator in clinical trials, a pharmaceutical executive, and a patient advocate with over 20 years of experience in improving clinical trials and medicine development. After being diagnosed with a rare pulmonary condition, he shifted his focus to patient-centered research and data management, which deepened his interest in the connection between ePatients and clinical trials. At Pfizer, Craig became Head of Clinical Innovation and Venture Partner, leading several important projects, including the first fully remote clinical trial and the first return of results to research participants. He was also a founding member of TransCelerate Biopharma, which aims to speed up new medicine development, and played key roles in founding two successful startups, Perceptive Informatics and Adnexus Therapeutics. Currently, Craig is the founder of Clinical Innovation Partners, providing advisory and board leadership to pharmaceutical, technology, and venture capital firms. He co-chairs the Decentralized Trials & Research Alliance (DTRA), a non-profit group that promotes decentralized research globally, with over 100 members from various sectors. He also serves as an executive advisor and board member for MedVector, a company focused on improving access to clinical trial participants. In academia, Craig is an adjunct assistant professor in Health Informatics at Rutgers University and an adjunct instructor at the University of Rochester. He holds board positions with the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research and the MedStar Health Research Institute, and he is on the Editorial Board for Therapeutic Innovation & Regulatory Science. Recognized for his contributions, Craig has been inducted into the PharmaVOICE Red Jacket Hall of Fame, named one of Pharmaceutical Executive’s Emerging Leaders, and included in the CenterWatch Top 20 Innovators in Clinical Trials.
