Es Devlin is an artist and stage designer known for creating large-scale environments that combine sculpture, light, music, and language. Her work spans global music tours, theatre productions, public installations, and cultural events, exploring how design can shape collective experience.

Over the past two decades, Devlin has created touring stage sculptures for artists including Beyoncé, U2, Adele, The Weeknd, and Kanye West. Her designs have also appeared in opera, theatre, and dance at institutions such as the Royal Opera House, the National Theatre, and the Metropolitan Opera, as well as at major global events including Olympic ceremonies and Super Bowl halftime shows.

Alongside performance design, Devlin produces large-scale installations and public artworks shown at venues including Tate Modern, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Serpentine, the Imperial War Museum, and the United Nations General Assembly. Works such as Fifth Lion in Trafalgar Square explored collective AI-generated poetry created with public participation, while installations including MIRRORMAZE invited audiences into reflective, labyrinth-like environments.

Her work has been the subject of the Netflix documentary series Abstract: The Art Of Design, and her career is documented in the monograph An Atlas of Es Devlin. She has received numerous honours, including the London Design Medal, three Olivier Awards, a Tony Award, and appointment as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to the arts.
