Ian Pruden is a former Royal Marine Commando, entrepreneur, and executive with a background in engineering, law, and international relations. He has a first-class honours degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, and a Master's in International Relations. He is currently studying at Oxford University. At 23, Ian became an officer in the Royal Marine Commandos, specializing in planning and executing counter-terrorism operations for 16 years. His military experience includes various environments, and he is qualified as a parachutist, diver, and Jungle Warfare Instructor. After leaving the Royal Marines in 2012, Ian moved to the corporate sector, taking on executive roles at JP Morgan and Barclays. He led major change and transformation programmes, developing his skills in strategic planning and execution. In 2017, Ian founded 3D-Seven, a tech start-up that enhances decision-making and strategy execution through innovative 3D models. These models use unique visualisation technology to represent clients' challenges in near real-time. 3D-Seven is supported by angel investors and is part of JP Morgan’s ‘InResidence’ start-up accelerator programme. As a keynote speaker, Ian is known for his engaging presentations on complex environments, strategy, and organisational mindfulness. His extensive knowledge allows him to discuss a wide range of topics, from military history to Agile delivery and leadership.
