Jennifer Zhu Scott is the Founding Partner of IN. Capital, specialising in AI and deep tech. She was previously Executive Chairman of The Commons Project, a non-profit focused on digital goods for public use. In 2018, she was named one of Forbes’ World's Top 50 Women in Tech and co-chaired the Fortune Global Tech Forum. Fortune recognised her as one of the most influential businesswomen in China in 2021. Jen is a China Fellow at The Aspen Institute and holds a dual fellowship at Chatham House. She served on the World Economic Forum’s China Council and was part of the inaugural Council on the Future of Blockchain and the Data Policy Council. In 2013, she was honoured as a Young Global Leader by WEF. She studied Applied Mathematics at Sichuan University and earned an MBA in Finance from Manchester Business School, along with leadership and policy programmes at Yale, Harvard, Oxford, and Princeton. Jen has participated in debates at Oxford Union and Davos, discussing Universal Basic Income and crypto assets. She consulted for the HBO series Silicon Valley and frequently speaks and writes on data ownership, AI, and digital policy. Her TED talk on data ownership has over 3.3 million views.
