Alicia Navarro is an experienced tech entrepreneur and startup coach. She graduated at the top of her Computing Science class at the University of Technology in Sydney.
In 2007, Alicia founded Skimlinks, originally called Skimbit, which provided social decision-making tools. During the financial crisis, she shifted the company to focus on automated affiliate marketing technology, helping media companies monetize their content. Under her leadership, Skimlinks grew into a global business with offices in London, San Francisco, and New York, achieving annual revenues of $50 million before she stepped down as CEO in 2018.
After Skimlinks, Alicia looked for ways to enhance human potential. She worked as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at venture capital firms and mentored at accelerators. She also coaches founders and executive teams directly.
In 2020, Alicia founded FLOWN, a startup focused on integrating deep work principles into daily life. Her ideas were inspired by a creative slump, a puppy, and a road trip through France and Spain, along with insights from Cal Newport’s book "Deep Work." She tested her concepts through deep work retreats in Spain, France, and Portugal, attracting individuals seeking better work environments.
Alicia has received many awards for her leadership and innovation at Skimlinks, including Female Entrepreneur of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year from various organizations.
