Kate O'Neill, known as the "Tech Humanist," helps organizations align emerging technology with human needs, drawing on 25 years at the intersection of digital strategy and AI ethics.
As CEO of KO Insights, Kate advises organizations on building AI and data strategies that are both commercially effective and ethically sound. One of the first 100 employees at Netflix, Kate has since worked with clients including Google, IBM, Microsoft, and the United Nations. Her six books include Tech Humanist and What Matters Next, recently named to the Thinkers50 Best New Management Booklist. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and WIRED, with broadcast features on NPR and the BBC.
Kate's work gives leaders a framework for making technology decisions that hold up against both business objectives and human values. She draws on her advisory work across sectors including healthcare, financial services, and government to show how AI and data can be deployed to solve problems at scale without sacrificing the experiences of the people affected.
Audiences come away with a clearer model for aligning organizational purpose with digital strategy, practical tools for evaluating AI and technology choices under uncertainty, and a more grounded understanding of where emerging technology is heading and what it means for their sector.
Book Kate O'Neill to give your audience the strategic clarity they need to lead confidently through what comes next.
Kate brings 25 years translating AI and automation strategy into frameworks that hold up under commercial and ethical pressure, sharpened through advisory work at Google, IBM, and Microsoft. Her Thinkers50-recognised approach gives leadership teams the evaluative clarity needed to make adoption decisions that create value rather than risk. Particularly valuable for organizations navigating technology investment without losing sight of human impact.
