Pete Reed boasts three consecutive gold medals in rowing at the Olympic Games, a remarkable achievement that began less than four years after he started the sport.
Throughout his impressive 17-year rowing career, he earned two Oxford Blues and is among the elite group of only 14 Team GB Olympians who have maintained their dominance in their sport for a long time. As a serving Royal Navy officer since 1999, Pete retired from rowing in 2018 to continue his public service at sea.
However, in 2019, he faced a life-altering event when he suffered a spinal stroke that left him paralyzed below his chest.
