Sony Kapoor is a macroeconomist, finance expert, development specialist, and sustainability advisor. He is currently a Senior Associate at E3G, working on issues related to macroeconomics, climate, energy, development, and finance. Kapoor is the CEO of the Nordic Institute for Finance, Technology & Sustainability and an Interdisciplinary Professor of Climate, Geoeconomics & Finance at the European University Institute. He also serves as Chief Economist at Worthwhile Capital Partners and chairs Re-Define, collaborating with policymakers and corporations on economic policy and sustainability. Additionally, he is a Trustee at Friends of Europe. Recognised as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, Kapoor has been acknowledged for his leadership in addressing the euro crisis and promoting financial reform and climate action. He is also a European Young Leader and a Fellow of the RSA for his contributions to policy and sustainability.
