Daniel H. Pink is the author of five New York Times bestsellers, including his latest, The Power of Regret: How Looking Backward Moves Us Forward. His other notable works include When and A Whole New Mind and the #1 bestsellers Drive and To Sell is Human. His books have won multiple awards, been translated into 46 languages, and sold millions of copies globally. He resides in Washington, DC, with his family.
Dan was the host and co-executive producer of “Crowd Control,” a series on human behaviour that aired on the National Geographic Channel in over 100 countries. He also hosts a popular MasterClass on sales and persuasion and has made numerous appearances on NPR, PBS, ABC, CNN, and other networks.
He has contributed to Fast Company and Wired and published articles in The New York Times, Harvard Business Review, The Atlantic, and Slate. He was a Japan Society Media fellow in Tokyo, focusing on the comic industry.
Before becoming an independent author 20 years ago, Dan held various roles in politics and government, including chief speechwriter to Vice President Al Gore from 1995 to 1997.
He earned a BA from Northwestern University, where he was a Truman Scholar and elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and a JD from Yale Law School. He has received honorary doctorates from several institutions, including Georgetown University and the Pratt Institute.
