Dr. Nasser H. Saidi has an extensive background in economics and finance. He has held various positions, including Chief Economist and Head of External Relations at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Executive Director of the Hawkamah-Institute for Corporate Governance and The Mudara Institute of Directors at DIFC, and Minister of Economy and Trade and Minister of Industry of Lebanon. Additionally, he has served as a Vice-Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon and as a member of the UN Committee for Development Policy. Dr. Saidi is also involved in various international organizations, such as the IMF's Regional Advisory Group for MENA and the OECD's MENA Corporate Governance Working Group. He has written books and publications on macroeconomics, capital market development, and international economic issues. Dr. Saidi holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from the University of Rochester, an M.Sc. from University College London, and a B.A. from the American University of Beirut.
