Steve Tsang is a respected scholar and commentator on Chinese politics, international relations, security, and modern history. Born in Hong Kong, he holds degrees from the University of Hong Kong and the University of Oxford. Tsang has held significant roles in academia, including Head of School and Professor of Contemporary Chinese Studies at the University of Nottingham (2011-present), Director of the China Policy Institute at the same institution (2011-present), and currently as the Director of the SOAS China Institute at the SOAS University of London (since 2016). He is known for his skillful public speaking and lecturing.
