A firm believer in inclusion, education and of the role opportunity brings in allowing people to experience greater achievement, Ruth spent 15 years in a central role at Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City where she helped in its effectiveness and expansion. As their CEO for the past seven years, Ruth leads the Harlem Educational Activities Fund (HEAF), a 31-year-old NYC-based college access and success program for underserved youth. She aligns with the HEAF vision of providing a continuum of educational, development, leadership, and personal resilience opportunities.
